When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

of course ^_^ heh. i have a whole collection in my faves of your writing.
and i have to say, your work often matches how i'm feeling at the time. not always, but a lot. it's kind of spooky. -- "without imagination, there can be no dreams. without dreams, there can be no reality. therefore, the world is nothing without imagination." |

Hello darlin!
I was so excited to be able to tell you a bit more in depth why I love this piece. Thank you for opening up your work to critiques.
01.
This stanza is such a fabulous opener. The first sentence grabs you and pulls you into the poem. I really liked the part in the second sentence where you used, "I just can't find the grace to make them as beautiful..." to pull in the idea of praying again.
I also loved the contrast of the angel/devil that you used, it's a fresh new idea, and I really appreciated it.
02.
I have to admit that the first part of this was a bit confusing at first, but I loved the imagery... its really well done. And the last "To be frank, darling..." is really ironic and has a great edge of sarcasm to it.
03.
This is just a really strong middle to the poem, it makes a good transition between 02. and 04. Again, really great imagery.
04.
This is without a doubt my favorite stanza. The imagery is fantastic... I'm in awe of it, really. I liked how you switched the heart and bones... usually poets will use the ice with heart, and lead with bones, I loved how you switched those. If that makes any sense at all XD
"even if my soul dropped to my feet and crawled out my toes..."
I absolutely
05.
A really solid, good ending to the poem. I loved how you brought in the imagery from the earlier stanzas and continued your thoughts through the end.
Overall, this was a very solid write, and I really loved the imagery that you brought through the piece.
Love love love this piece.
Thank you for opening it up to critiques.
