Falling sounds painful. To me, it signifies an end. Id like to think that love isnt a fall but a path. When I went to get a steak and got your name instead I changed my direction. Since then Ive been walking down love with you. Does that answer your question?

This is like...like...*sigh* like the sweetest romance novel that's yet to be written, because the moment is ever-changing, ever-breathing...and when I gasp, it leaves an imprint of steel-toed shoes and lightning bolts across my ribs, makes me crave more, always more. I won't repeat myself anymore, I'm tired of never saying anything but "Gorgeous" to your writes. So I tip my hat to you.

When I first started reading, I was curious why on earth this appeared to be pure dialogue with no descriptions or tagging whatsoever. Then I realized that it was entirely unnecessary to have anything like that. You made it perfectly clear who was speaking with every line. And you made it quite poignant once that clutter was removed.
I didn't need to see the actual people to understand who they were. Granted, you did describe the first meeting very well, but you proved that the physical didn't really matter. There was a much better connection between the two and the descriptions simply painted a picture of the minds of the speakers.
The simple humanity of your characters is astounding. The man is honest and blunt with his views, but not in an unloving manner. It's playful, a rapport developed after years of love and kindness toward each other. He presents the woman with the truth from his eyes, yet it doesn't at all destroy the idea of the fairytale. The setting may be different, but in the end, the result is the same.
Finally, I loved the ending of your story. The idea of walking in love versus falling in love is beautifully poetic yet completely true. In fact, I had something not too dissimilar when I proposed to my wife.
Fantastic job. Utterly fantastic.
You've taken something relatively unoriginal, rather cliche and overall simplistic and beautified it magnificently. From your splendid use of dialogue to your cleverly interwoven battle of brisk wit.
The impact this piece has had is indisputable. Just take a gander at the flood of comments. I don't think I could discern a single negative piece of feedback.
If you were seeking to leave your readers awestruck and with a newly found respect for simple romance, you've accomplished exactly that.
One piece of criticism I will add-as I refuse to walk away without something constructive to contribute-is that I don't find the title to do this piece justice. Although I don't have a specific suggestion I find the title to be a little too declarative and aggressive for the writing therein.
